Anime Vortex, is an organization dedicated to
the spreading of a unique medium of
entertainment called Japanese Animation (or
Anime as it is termed in Japan). Anime has
been a fandom in most of the western world for
some time now and only recently has become
available to the general public. This however is
not good enough, mainly because most people
are unaware of the existence of anime. Local
Clubs in Toronto have already presented
themselves to show anime to the general public,
clubs like UTARPA (University of Toronto
Anime & Role playing Association), Club
Anime!!, and UR Anime (University of Ryerson
Anime). Anime Vortex hopes to be part of this
trend of gathering anime fans who are
dedicated to the love of anime and the
furthering of this unique medium which has
caught the attention of the western worlds
young and old generations.
Values:
- Anime Vortex is a club of free expression, we
do not claim to force our beliefs or theories on
others.
- People who have opinions should keep those
opinions to themselves (Stereotypes are caused
by ignorance, this is no different with regards to
Anime) our goals have been outlined in the
above paragraph. Therefor the members and
executive comity of Anime Vortex are willing to
discuss opinions expressed by others in a civil
orderly manner.
- Anime Vortex does not wish friction with any
other anime clubs in the greater Toronto area.
Members of clubs other than Anime Vortex are
still welcome to attend Anime Vortex's
showings.
- No prizes will be withheld from anyone in
attendance of the theater if he/she has rightfully
won that respected prize. This includes
members of other respected clubs.
- Anime Vortex is a multicultural club, the
members will not discriminate on any basis
weather that be one of color, religion, or of
mental capabilities. Any member found doing
so will be asked to relinquish his/her
membership, and will no longer be associated
with Anime Vortex.
